Wallcoverings designed for Jannelli & Volpi

THDP applies its own vision of the interior with Onde, Corteccia, and Selva, a collection of luxury wallpapers created for Jannelli & Volpi.

A design approach where the aim is to encourage "creative associations" that eliminate the boundaries between architecture, design and art.

Delicate and integrated furnishing accessories where the elements interact in a harmonious and balanced way.

The project starts from the research and observation of those elements present in nature that arouse emotions in the brain and emotional memory, resulting in a collection that knows how to use a language capable of evoking sensations of pleasure, well-being, enthusiasm and vitality.

The concept wants to define how shades and patterns inspired by nature affect the human being and his behavior, capturing the depth of each tone and each combination.

“Colour is my daily obsession, joy, and torment”.
— Claude Monet

When the colour is not the result of artifice, but intrinsic in the natural element, it is perceived as balanced and harmonious.
Hence the transformation of these elements into graphic signs that give rise to new compositions automatically perceived by the brain as comfortable as they are familiar.

Onde
Water, in its various forms, is associated with an idea of well-being.
Its different stages make it present in nature as a liquid, clouds, drops, rain or fog.
However, it presents itself, it manages to calm the spirit. It is proven that even just observing the water arouses pleasant and relaxing sensations.

Corteccia
Trees are the second element, inextricably linked to water.
Millennial living beings, retain the memory of the world within themselves and tell it through their organic textures. Observing this element allows you to get in tune with the planet and makes man feel deeply part of it.

Selva
Biophilia is the innate tendency to focus our attention on life forms and everything that evokes them. Increasingly used in the design field, it aims to bring man closer to nature, stimulating conscious emotions and memories related to carefree and generally positive moments.

The collection will be launched at Cersaie 2022, the International Exhibition of Ceramics for Architecture and Bathroom Furnishings, and will be visible and purchasable online.
