THDP is proud to participate to the XIX Edition of Tile of Spain Awards of Architecture and Interior Design with its project Hilton Barcelona Diagonal Mar.
For the interior, THDP selected Neolith from TheSize Surfaces SL for the cladding of the hotels main reception pods and the kitchen and bar of the Michelin Star Restaurant Aurt which appear in the lobby of the hotel.
The competition is organized and promoted by ASCER, the Spanish Ceramic Tile Manufacturers’ Association. The prizes aim to improve awareness and understanding of ceramic tiles made in Spain amongst architects and interior designers and promote their use by these professionals
The competition for the Prizes is held annually and is open to projects and professionals in Spain and worldwide. Entries must make significant use of Spanish ceramic floor and/or wall tiles in the formal part of the building.
A special Jury composed by Kengo Kuma / Javier Villar Ruiz (KKAA), Izaskun Chinchilla, Jonathan Arnabat (ARQUITECTURA-G), Daria de Seta (Garcés - de Seta - Bonet Arquitectes), Lázaro Rosa-Violán will make its decision on the 26th November 2020.
